43 percent of eligible Grande Prairie residents fully vaccinated; active cases at 480

As of August 30, 2021 the City of Grande Prairie has 480 active cases of COVID-19, and the County of Grande Prairie has 193 cases.

Cases of COVID-19 across the rest of the province also continue to climb. Alberta now has 11,660 active cases of the virus. 

Hospitalizations have risen to 431, and a total of 106 Albertans are in intensive care receiving treatment. 

As of August 30, 2021,

• 5,559,321 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Alberta
• 78 percent of 12+ population has received at least one dose (66.3% total population)
• 69.8 percent of 12+ population fully vaccinated (59.4% total population)

Grande Prairie vaccination numbers are now at 43% fully immunized, and 42.3% in the County of Grande Prairie.
