The number of people currently needing intensive care due to COVID-19 has lowered.

As of Wednesday morning, one dozen people are in Manitoba's intensive care unit due to COVID-19, with three of those being active cases. I total, there are 65 people in the hospital, with 22 of those people having active cases and the rest no longer are infectious.

There are 57 new COVID-19 cases, with 22 of those cases from Winnipeg and 25 from Southern Health-Santé Sud. Of the 58,759 total cases, 495 of those are active.

There are 57,074 recoveries. In Manitoba, 1,190 people have died.

Manitoba's five-day test positivity rate is 2.9 per cent.

As of Wednesday morning, 1,906,312 doses of vaccine have been administered, including first and second doses. The second Vax to Win Lottery is drawing closer, with September 6 as the cut-off for the last draw. The ProtectMB Community Outreach and Incentive Grants continues to accept applications.
