A pivotal moment in the election takes place this week as the Kenora riding's candidates take part in the only all candidates debate in the region.

Ahead of the debate, all the local candidates are preparing to take the stage. KenoraOnline and DrydenNow sat down with the candidates to talk about their strategy heading into Thursday evening.

Remi Rheault, the Green Party candidate, says his focus at the debate will be on policy.

"The policies are the policies, so I really want to answer these questions that are coming up in the debate that are based on what is actually there. It's not just about personal life experiences or anything like that, it's about policies, and that's what people are looking for. I want to make sure that they are being answered truthfully, honestly, and as completely as possible," said Rheault.

The all candidates debate is taking place Thursday evening and will feature the five Kenora riding candidates vying for your vote, including incumbent Conservative candidate Eric Melillo, NDP candidate Janine Seymour, Liberal candidate David Bruno, Remi Rheault of the Green Party, and Craig Martin of the Peoples Party of Canada.

Each candidate will be given four minutes to present their platform, but the evening moves to the question period. The debate will conclude with each candidate offering a closing statement.
