U17 Central Energy went 1-1 against both of their weekend opponents, the Eastman Wildcats and the Westman Magic.
The scored a 2-1 victory in the first matchup with Eastman before falling 9-2 in the next game.
Then, in a doubleheader in Brandon, they defeated the Westman Magic 8-0 before losing a heartbreaker, 7-6 in which they gave up the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning. With only one inning left, Central was unable to regain the tie.
The face a quick turnaround, playing the Manitoba Thunder on Tuesday, and then off to Friedensfeld, just south of Steinbach for two games on Sunday.
The U13 group played four games over the weekend as well, putting together a 1-3 record.
Central faced the Manitoba Angels in their first game, losing 7-1, largely due to a five-run second inning for the Angels.
The Energy got a win against the Eastman Wildcats in their second game, a pitching duel which ended 2-1.
On Sunday, the U13 group traveled to Friedensfeld for two more games against the Eastman Wildcats.
Both games would go Eastman's way, as they defeated Central Energy 9-2 and 10-3.
Next up for the U13 girls in purple is a double header with the Interlake Phillies on Friday in Winkler.
The U15 Central Energy club went 1-3 on the weekend, facing the Manitoba Angels and the Eastman Wildcats.
Central Energy took on the Angels first, winning a high-scoring affair 18-12. Their next game was rained out, leading to a triple-header on Sunday.
Central out-hit Eastman in the first contest, but still fell 4-3.
The following game featured excellent pitching from both teams, but a better performance from the Eastman batters, as they collected the second win.
Game three saw Eastman score the 7-2 victory to complete the Sunday sweep. Central managed six walks but managed only seven hits to supplement their offence.
Central Energy U15 will host the Manitoba Angels in Winkler on Friday at 4pm and 6pm. They will also be in action in Morden on Sunday, welcoming the Winnipeg Lightning for games at 12pm and 2pm.
