RCMP have provided Golden West with additional details regarding a two-vehicle collision south of Plum Coulee Friday afternoon along Provincial Road 306.

At approximately 4:40 p.m. Friday afternoon Pembina Valley RCMP responded to the two-vehicle collision.

The initial investigation shows a vehicle being driven by a 17-year-old female from Rosetown, was southbound on PR 306, when she pulled out to pass another southbound vehicle, and struck a northbound vehicle, being driven by a 19-year-old male from Altona.

Both were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The current condition of the individuals was not provided in the update shared with Golden West.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing.

STARS Air Ambulance responded to the scene, as did Plum Coulee Fire Department, Altona Rhineland/Emergency Services and Altona Police Service.
