The East Central AAA18U Red Sox got to work early and remained relentless at the plate for a 9-1 win over the Zone 7 Sun Devils at James Korte Field on Tuesday night.
Cam Marshak hit the first of two homers on the evening to put the Sox up in the first. Carter Dosch followed up with a single for a second run and a wild pitch allowed the third in the opener.
Marshak drove in another pair of runs on his second homer in inning two.
The Red Sox continued to play aggressively and capitalized on a Sun Devils error with Dosch putting up another run after tagging up.
Dallan Rude got in on the home run derby, driving in another pair in the fourth.
Colton Parker contributed the sole run for the Sun Devils with a home run in the top of the seventh.
Marek Yeager struck out 10 batters to earn the win.
This Saturday sees a double header for the Red Sox as the Parkland Expos pay a visit to James Korte Field. Game time at 12 noon.
