With just three days until Election Day 2021, the pressure is on for our local candidates.

Liberal Candidate for the region, David Bruno, let us know how he is feeling heading into this election.

“The campaign has been going very, very well. It's been going as smoothly as one can expect in any campaign. It’s a hard grind, I am not going to lie but I am in the best shape of my life now thanks to that. And the response has been great.”

“Quite clearly there is a desire to be on the winning team and I hope that I'm representing that to our population and I will be able to bring these promised services and funding to our communities, and it's not just the city of Kenora," adds Bruno.

"I am talking about Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Dryden, Ignace, and Kenora. All of us, we are in this together. And of course, our First Nations communities which is something that I have been very privileged to be a part of,” he said.

When asked about predictions for the outcome of the region, Bruno remains positive.

“I am not going to make assumptions in either one way or the other. I am very confident that we are going to make this happen and that I’ll be able to bring our concerns directly to the Cabinet. Of course, that means a win for our side, so I am staying positive that it's going to happen.”

Bruno later went on to thank the riding for the support he has received so far.

“This is going to be a hard fight and I am ready to fight, it's going to work out in the end. And I am so excited about finishing this off. We are on the home stretch and I can see the finish line, and I am not going to stop until I cross that line. So, thank you to all of our riding constituents. See you at the end of the finish line.”

Canadians will head to the polls on Monday, September 20, 2021.
