A trio of wins this weekend for the East Central 18U AAA Red Sox.
Saturday saw a double header against the Parkland Expos with a pair of decisive wins, 13-2 and 10-2. Cade Armstrong produced seven runs on a pair of critical hits, including a grand slam to left field in the second inning. Graydn Wilson followed up with a homer to right field for another three runs, launching the Red Sox well into the lead.
Sunday was a more defensive match up against the Moose Jaw Canucks with a 6-4 loss in the opener.
The Canucks took advantage of a pair of three run innings to gain the upper hand in game one.
In the second bout of the doubleheader, the Red Sox found redemption with a 4-1 win. The Canucks opened the scoring at the top of the first. Then Dallen Rude swatted a double to drive in a pair and get things going for the Sox.
Marek Yeager got the win on the plate with eight strike outs and no walks during his complete game.
The Red Sox take to the road next Friday and Saturday for a pair of matchups in Saskatoon.
