The clock is counting down, just two days away from the 2021 Federal Election.
Conservative Party candidate and current MP for the region, Eric Melillo, is optimistic heading into this election.
When asked about his plan for the final stretch of his campaign, Melillo explained “Definitely a lot of door-knocking, doing what we can to reach as many people as possible. Share our plan for Northwestern Ontario and [our] plan for Canada’s recovery. That’s really what it comes down to."
“It will be a busy couple of days as we travel to as many places as possible and reach as many doors as we can. And of course Election Day, a lot of anticipation and a lot of waiting, but I am looking forward to it, and I am looking forward to the opportunity to join a conservative government,” said Melillo enthusiastically.
Melillo emphasized that he believes the Conservative Party is the only party with priorities that align with the needs of the North West.
“When it comes down to it, this election has become a choice between a Liberal lead coalition with the NDP that we cannot afford or a Conservative government that will recover our economy and support Northwestern Ontario. And I believe we are the only party with a plan that will address the housing supply gap, that will support our local economy and get our country back on track,” claimed Melillo.
Melillo is looking forward to spending election night with his family, his team and his supporters.
“I’ll be watching the results at home with my family and then making my way over to Bobs Burgers later on in the night to join our team and volunteers. I am looking forward to that,” added Melillo.
