Lanigan Fire Department responds to vehicle ablaze on Highway 20

On Saturday, August 3 at approximately 11:00 pm, the Lanigan Fire Department was dispatched to the site of a vehicle fully involved in a fire on Highway 20. The incident took place approximately 5 km north of the junction with Highway 16. 

A half-ton pickup experienced a major electrical fault explained the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle who escaped uninjured. 

The Lanigan Fire Truck and emergency responders arrived to find the truck fully involved at the side of the road. The truck fire was extinguished within moments with no injuries reported. 

Highway 20 was blocked during the duration of the fire operation, but it was opened to traffic once the blaze was extinguished.
