As the Western Canadian Baseball League Playoffs loom, the Moose Jaw Miller Express celebrated their achievements from the 2024 regular season.
On Tuesday night, the Moose Jaw Miller Express held their annual awards night with players, billet families, volunteers, and board members. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful evening says Darryl Pisio, President Governer of the Moose Jaw Miller Express.
"I thought it was very successful. We said a big thank you to all the billet families and volunteers for all they have done for us and just had a fun enjoyable night," said Pisio.
A total of six awards were handed out to different players of the Moose Jaw Miller Express as they finished with a record of 26-29 in the regular season. That placed the Miller Express at fourth in the East Division as they prepare for their best of three playoff series against the Regina Red Sox.
"Everyone is very positive and believes in themselves. So, we think there is an opportunity to make our way back to the championship again this year," stated Pisio.
The Moose Jaw Miller Express hit the road to take on the Regina Red Sox in game one on Wednesday, August 7th, at Currie Field. And then game two is back at home at Ross Wells Ball Park for Thursday, August 8th.
