Wheels Day is back thanks to the Humboldt Early Years Family Resource Centre (HEYFRC). It’s a chance for youngsters to find about the world of wheels around them, about the operators of those vehicles, and about safe behaviours around those vehicles. The event takes place on Friday, August 16 from 10 am to 12 pm.

The goal of Wheels Day is to give children a chance to learn about some of the amazing vehicles they see around town and learn about safety,” says Katherine Pulice with the Centre. “This year, children will be able to explore a fire truck, an ambulance, an RCMP vehicle, a school bus and farm equipment. They can then join us inside the Uniplex for a snack and some fun activities.”

In partnership with Safe Communities Humboldt, a car seat clinic will also take place on site. Qualified personnel will be on hand to answer any questions parents might have and to ensure proper installation of car seats for children. There will also be information on how and when to transition growing children to the next sized car seat.

For the car seat check, you can book an appointment at (306) 682-0705 or safecommunity@sasktel.net.
