Rob Carnie: It's another edition of Take 5 with Carnie and Carmichael featuring Moose Jaw City Manager, Maryse Carmichael. Let's start with a #notoriously active Fall and Winter Rec Guide. I hate to say fall and winter in August, Maryse, but here we are, and the Rec Guide is out, and lots of opportunities for local people, local families to get involved across the City of Moose Jaw at all our great facilities.

Maryse Carmichael: Absolutely, and yes, it is still summer. It is still beautiful, but it’s time to think about the Fall and registering, some of the programs are so popular that it is time to think about it. The Rec Guide is out, so it is for City facilities, classes at night for the Moose Jaw Event Centre curling side, it’s all part of the Rec Guide.

I recommend to all the families to take the time now on a beautiful summer evening to look at their plans for the fall and the winter and to take advantage of our beautiful facilities.

Rob: A lot of community groups come together as well, and offer programming for families in local school gymnasiums, for example.

Maryse: Absolutely, because we want it to be local, so you can even walk and be even more active to go to your classes at night, or to the activities or to the Cultural Club. There is lots of information in the guide.

Rob: Now we can get a physical guide at the Kinsmen Sportsplex, right? Like a paper guide, or can we access it online?

Maryse: We can access it online, absolutely. The great thing about online is it’s updated regularly, if there’s some modifications. But yes, at the Kinsmen, you can get a good old fashioned hard copy.

Rob: Okay, very good.
