After being taken off the field on a stretcher on Friday night during the first quarter, there's good news surrounding Blue Bombers offensive lineman Stanley Bryant.

According to head coach Mike O'Shea, Bryant was sick but is expected to take the field against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Sunday's Labour Day Classic.

"Honestly, when I walked on the field and Stanley was talking to us, and you talk to the doctor and then they just do a simple test," said O'Shea in an interview. "There's relief, even on the sideline. I was like, OK, yeah this is not what people are projecting it to be."

Also leaving the game early was offensive lineman Gabe Wallace who was on crutches at practice, but O'Shea believes he will be back on the field this season.

The Bombers are back in action Sunday afternoon for the Labour Day Classic in Saskatchewan which also serves as a showdown for the top spot in the West Division.
