Three 18 year old males are facing weapons related charges after a restaurant employee in Winkler reported having a firearm pointed at them early Monday morning.

Winkler police were dispatched to the Norquay Drive business around 2:45 a.m., where the victim indicated a customer drew a handgun, appeared to load it and pointed it at the employee before leaving. A vehicle description was provided, and both Winkler and Morden police officers patrolled the area, but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

According to police, Monday evening, just before 6 p.m., Winkler officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Mountain Avenue at 15th Street. The three males were taken into custody, and police located two handguns in the vehicle that were determined to be CO2 pistols.
