The Klippers will be looking for another year of growth in 2024-25. The team ended a lengthy playoff drought last season with Clayton Jardine back at the helm behind the bench and in the front office, before ultimately being swept out of their return to the postseason by Flin Flon.

Speaking with Jardine post-camp, he shared his thoughts headed into Friday's pre-season home opener.

"Trying to build a little chemistry within our d-pairings and forward lines, but you don't want to overthink it, because you want to give certain guys that are fighting for a spot on this team an opportunity to play with guys who can make plays," said Jardine. "It's a juggling act to put the right guys (together) and build chemistry at the same time. At the end of the day, whoever is going to work the hardest and produce the most is going to make this hockey team."

When it comes to pre-season hockey, Jardine feels it's best to just let the players do their thing when watching the roster competition unfold.

"You kind of sit back and watch, do a little bit of coaching, but also let them play."

Anyone planning on catching the Klippers first pre-season game on Friday should know it's being played inside the Co-op Arena; puck drop set for 7:30 as usual.
