Seasonal campers at Lake Minnewasta will be able to leave their units at the campground over the winter.
Morden City Council recently passed a winter storage agreement.
"Those that are seasonal site holders are allowed to leave their campers in their spot, if they choose, for the winter months," explained Brian Thiessen, campground manager.
He noted, this is something seasonal campers have been mentioning for quite some time.
"Let's say they're farmers and they're still on the field when it's time for them to pull their camper out, or they're still on the fields in spring when it's time for them to bring their campers in. So, it's difficult for them to get it in when they're allowed to. And then there are others that struggle with trying to find a person to move their camper because they don't have the vehicle to do it or the storage location for it."
Overall, Thiessen believes this is a great extended service to offer to their seasonal campers.
