Silver alert ends, missing senior safely located: WPS

The Winnipeg Police Service says a missing 85-year-old man has been found safe.

The senior was last seen in the vicinity of Newton Avenue and Main Street in the morning hours of Saturday, September 7, 2024. The WPS issued a silver alert at 11:41 a.m., saying that he may travel to the Southdale and St. Vital areas of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Just 21 minutes later the WPS sent out another notification that the man had been safely located.
