The Portage Pitbulls had a great crowd turn up for their annual homecoming. Multiple games ran over the course of September 8, with the U14, U12 and U10 teams taking the field.

Luke Irwin, Head Coach of the U14 team and President of the Portage Pitbulls Football Club, describes some of the particular parts of the event.

"It was good, we did a few more things today to try and entice the parents and kids to come out. We got the bouncy castles set up, we had some music playing and had the canteen going with some new merchandise, so that was good," Irwin continues. "It was a good atmosphere, the kids were pumped up, and had a lot of fun out there."

Jedi Hudson played a few key roles for his squad, including running for a couple touchdowns, and describes his feelings on taking the field.

"It was tons of fun, probably one of the best games I've played. It was an amazing time to see everybody watching us and it was just a great game."

Jaiden Braun also took the field and emphasizes how the team felt about the crowd watching them.

"It felt good, it wasn't really like this for our first game but now that it is, it feels great. We want it to happen again."

The U14 squad now prepares for a faceoff with Eastman in Steinbach on Saturday, September 14.
