Santa Claus is coming to town... on Friday, December 6.

Santa's little helpers are already scurrying around getting ready for the 39th annual Santa Claus Parade in High River.

The theme this year is 'Celebrating Santa's Helpers'.

Registration is already open, and it's free as always, but the elves just need you to register so they know how many floats and entries will be taking part.

The elves have already opened up the bags for candy and could still use some sponsors to help out.

The Foothills Lions are already on board as they cook up the delicious hot dogs every year warming the bellies and spreading smiles too all the good kids.

The elves along with the High River Parades and Lights Society and Rotary Club of High River could sure use your support too.  They do a lot of the heavy lifting every year getting the town ready for Santa to arrive.

The festive market is also back thanks to Inclusion Foothills.

Registration deadline is Monday, December 2 and you can click here to register.

If you'd like to help out with being a candy sponsor, then click here.

Volunteers package up all the candy into bags for easy distribution during the parade as candy is not allowed to be thrown from floats or entries.

And some more volunteers will be asked to help out with the lighting up of George Lane Park with amazing Christmas and festive displays.
