Roseau Valley boys and Portage Collegiate girls captured the Zone 4 High School golf championship banners Monday at the Scotswood Links golf course in Elm Creek.
Kasen Mateychuk (71), Crosby Mateychuk (75), Grayson Slaney (82), Nash Riach (87) & Rowan French (96) of the Raiders finished four shots ahead Sanford's Kyler Zulyniak (70), Austin Illife (77), Tyler Kendall (85), Maxwell Nabess (88) & Jaymyn McIntrye (89).
The three best scores were used to determine the team results.
Greyson Gacutan (77), Blake Reimer (81), Rowan Thiessen (85), Logan Krahn (93) & Owen Reimer (96) of Northlands Parkway and Darren Hesom (76), Parker Henderson (79), Eli Dias (88), Nash Sugden (88) & Andrew Rothenburger (89) of Morden tied for third at 243.
Brooke Henderson (90), Ella Harkness (93), Kora Montour (98), Lexi Henderson (116) & Paige Bailey (164) of PCI took the girls title with a score of 281. Rory Perrin (105), Willow Winslow (111), Rylee Harms (116), Delaney Darby (118) & Aubree Sloan (120) of Morden finished second with a 332 total.
The Provincial High School Golf Championships will be held this Friday at the Minnewasta Golf & Country Club in Morden.
