31-year-old Stonewall man dead following collision involving stolen vehicle

A 31-year-old man is dead following a collision Monday morning in the RM of Sifton. 

The two-vehicle crash, involving an SUV and a farm tractor, happened shortly after 9 a.m. on Highway 21, just south of Provincial Road 543.

Virden RCMP say the SUV, which was found to be stolen from Winnipeg, was travelling southbound on Highway 21 when it veered over the centre line and collided head-on with a northbound farm tractor. 

The driver of the SUV, a 31-year-old man from Stonewall, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 21-year-old male driver of the tractor was not harmed. 

Virden RCMP, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
