Heavy rainfall prompts another request from the City of Winkler

Residents of Winkler are once again being asked to do their part to minimize the risk of sewer back up and other potential side effects following yet another heavy rainfall.
    
Reaching out on social media this morning, the city says there are several ways to help, including:

- conserving water to allow pumpstations to keep up.
- ensure sump pumps are discharging outside and away from your home and not into your home's sanitary drain. 
- ensure downspouts are directing water away from buildings.
- remove any debris that might be blocking drainage or water flows.
