The Unity, Wilkie, and Macklin RCMP detachments responded to a variety of incidents over the past week, including traffic stops, fraud investigations, and assault charges.

In Unity, a 23-year-old woman was charged with impaired driving during a traffic stop, and a 59-year-old woman was charged with assault with a weapon and causing bodily harm. Police also investigated a two-vehicle collision, a trespassing complaint, and an unfounded report of a stolen truck. Other calls included a fraud investigation and assisting an individual locked inside a gated compound.

In Wilkie, police assisted Child and Family Services and are investigating a single-vehicle collision. There were two traffic complaints and a false 911 call.

In Macklin, RCMP handled a noise complaint, two fraud cases, and a report of uttering threats. Officers also addressed a family dispute and assisted in transporting an unwanted individual to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.

  • Police addressed a noise complaint, issuing a verbal warning to the subject.
  • A fraud complaint is currently under investigation.
  • RCMP responded to a report of an unwanted individual at a residence and transported the person to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.
  • A complaint of uttering threats is under investigation.
  • Officers spoke with an individual regarding a Mental Health Act complaint.
  • RCMP assisted in keeping the peace while an individual retrieved personal property from a residence.
  • Members addressed a family dispute.
  • One traffic complaint was also reported.
