Emma Bittorf took home some hardware during a recent golf tournament.
Bittorf won the title in the Women's Net Stableford division during the 2024 Canadian All Abilities Championship.
She says it was an exciting experience.
"I had goals set and I wanted to win the next Stableford, and I did."
According to Golf Canada, Bittorf defeated three-time defending champion Tess Trojan to win the title for the first time.
Happy mom Dawn Bittorf says it was incredible to watch her daughter win.
"She had two holes left and she was only up one point. Her Dad's her caddy so he told her we need to pull out pars or better in the next two holes if you want to take away the championship, and she did."
Emma says she got to see her old friends and meet new people during the event.
Dawn mentions that the Strathmore Golf Club has been integral in helping Emma.
"They helped her get a better membership so that she's able to go and practice there almost every day," says Dawn. "With her being special needs it's not as easy for her. Golf's already an expensive sport so they've helped her out with meeting her accomplishments and we've been super supportive of them being behind her this whole time."
Emma also competed in the tournament last year.
Five women competed in the women's division along with a total of sixty golfers in the whole tournament.
