he Kindersley Co-op marked a significant milestone with the grand reopening of its Home Centre on 12th Avenue West this past Saturday. Under sunny skies, hundreds of community members gathered to celebrate the event.

Blair Ferner, General Manager of Kindersley Co-op, expressed his appreciation to all who attended. "This project has been many years in the making, and after 14 months of hard work, it has finally come to fruition," he said. "We’ve doubled the sales floor size and the product offering. When you walk in, you’ll see all kinds of new, innovative ideas to sell merchandise. It’s just an amazing transformation from the old facility to this modern space."

Ferner also thanked the store’s employees, who played a crucial role in the renovation process. "A special thank you to our team for their 14 months of intense effort, moving items and ensuring everything came together."

The celebration also acknowledged the contractors involved and the board of directors for initiating and driving the project to completion. Tom Watt, President of the Kindersley Co-op Board, extended his gratitude. "I want to thank the staff and management for all their hard work. Now that it’s done, I hope you can come to work with a smile every day."

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was followed by a customer appreciation BBQ, with over $5,000 worth of prizes raffled off and seasonal discounts offered. The newly refurbished store is expected to serve the community for years to come, bringing a fresh look and expanded services to Kindersley and the surrounding areas.
