Locally shot FX series picked up an Emmy over the weekend

The locally shot FX series Fargo season five picked up one Emmy over the weekend.

While they were nominated in 15 categories the series only picked up one Emmy this time.

Lamorne Morris, who plays State Trooper Whitley 'Whit' Farr, won an Emmy for 'Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.'

Season five was shot in and around High River and Okotoks as well as a few other Alberta locations.

Seasons one and two were also filmed in the area with season three shot in the U.S. and then season four and five were both filmed in Alberta.

Fargo, the television series is based upon the Coen Brothers 1996 film of the same name.
