Weyburn's Chief of Police and Police Commission Chair are confident in the recent appointment of Sergeant Shane St. John to the role of Deputy Police Chief of the Weyburn Police Service. 

St. John, a long-serving member of the Weyburn Police Service, will officially assume his new role effective immediately, bringing extensive experience to the position.

St. John has served in various capacities during his time with the Weyburn Police Service and is known for his commitment to public safety and community engagement. His experience and leadership abilities make him a valuable asset in his new role as Deputy Police Chief.

"Sergeant Shane St. John has been an exceptional leader within the Weyburn Police Service. His experience, dedication, and understanding of our community make him the ideal choice for Deputy Police Chief. I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to serve the citizens of Weyburn," shared Chief of Police Brent VanDeSype.

"The Police Commission is proud to welcome Shane St. John as our new Deputy Police Chief. His years of service and commitment to public safety have earned him this well-deserved promotion, and we are confident he
will contribute to the continued success of the Weyburn Police Service," commented Ron McCormick, Chair of the Weyburn Police Commission.
 
In a press release, the City of Weyburn also congratulated Deputy Police Chief Shane St. John on his new position, looking forward to his continued leadership in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
