Last Cowboy Standing: The fourth annual Last Cowboy Standing event will be held at the Strathmore at the Ag Grounds on Saturday (Sept. 21). It's a sanctioned event with riders and spectators coming in from all across western Canada to compete and watch the fun. Organizers say they are expecting a turnout of around 800 people.
Last Day Farmers Market: Vendors will be set up for the last market of the summer. Check out the Kinsmen Park Pavilion on Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Happy Cat Adoption Centre Grand Opening: The Happy Cat Sanctuary Society of Alberta is gearing up for its new adoption centre grand opening on Saturday (Sept. 21). Pet enthusiasts can come down and hang out with some furry friends.
Community-Wide Food Drive: The Wheatland County Food Bank is hosting its community-wide food drive on Saturday (Sept. 21) for residents to help feed the need. Volunteers will drop off bags at homes and the food will be picked up after 9 a.m. on Saturday (Sept. 21).
Strathmore Theatre Players' Guild One Acts: The Strathmore Theatre Players' Guild is bringing laughs to the Remuda Building at the Strathmore Ag Grounds. There will be three one-act plays for a mature audience. The shows run until Saturday (Sept. 21).
