1. Puppy Snuggles

Hpups, a local dog daycare centre, is inviting residents to drop by and snuggle with some of their furry friends on Friday (Oct. 4).

According to the centre, they've got several puppies in need of a new home, along with a few farm animals to check out as well.

The centre is located southbound on Range Road 242 in Wheatland County, and residents are asked to contact the owner at 403-634-3156 for the address.

The event runs from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

2. Mad Hatters Cornhole Club begins league play

Mad Hatters, a recently formed Cornhole Club out of Strathmore, begin league play on Sunday afternoon.

Doors open at 12:45 p.m. at the Trinity Christian Academy, with league play starting at 2 p.m.

Junior and beginner players are allowed to practice and watch the event for free. However, those looking to play will need to pay a fee.

According to the Mad Hatters, a taco food truck will also be available for hungry residents and players.

3. Performance of the Prairie Mountain Fiddlers

The Prairie Mountain Fiddlers are playing a show in Strathmore for a good cause.

The performance begins on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Strathmore United Church, with all proceeds from the event supporting the Vault Cultural Collective, a local art gallery.

The group tours around southern Alberta performing old-time fiddle music.

Tickets for the show cost $20 each and are available at the Vault.
