Highway 12 reopens following serious crash Saturday morning

UPDATE: Highway 12, from Hillside Road 67 N to Garven Road 66 N has been reopened following a serious crash Saturday morning.

Previously:

A section of Highway 12 is closed Saturday morning following a serious crash involving a train.

The single-vehicle collision happened at around 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 12 and Provincial Road 213, southeast of Beausejour. 

The Beausejour Brokenhead Fire Department is on scene, and say a train is blocking Highway 12.

As a result, Highway 12 is closed from Hillside Road 67 N to Garven Road 66 N.

There is no word on injuries. However, Stars Air Ambulance has been called to the scene.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and find another route.
