Utter Threats & Assault PO
On October 4th, Police received a report of a male that had uttered threats towards his grandmother, causing her to flee the residence in fearing for her safety. Police located the 26yr old male suspect and while being arrested, he attempted to strike the officer. He was eventually released on an Undertaking to appear in Court in December.
Assault
In the afternoon on October 4th, a female victim was punched in the face after leaving a residence in the zero hundred block of 13th St. N. The victim and the accused were not known to each other. The 44yr old female suspect was located in the area, charged accordingly and released on an Undertaking to appear in Court in December.
Warrants Executed
- A 17yr old male youth was arrested on Supervision Suspension Warrant and transported to the Brandon Correctional Centre to be held.
- A 24yr old male was arrested last night on the strength of a Virden RCMP endorsed Warrant. He was released and scheduled to appear in Court in November.
- A pedestrian check at 5:56am lead to the arrest of a 14yr old male as he was found to have an endorsed Warrant of Arrest for Breaching his Probation. He was released on an Appearance Notice and will appear in Court later this month.
Breach of Release Order
At 11:20pm Police stopped to talk to a group of people in the 100 block of 7th St. and one of the individuals was found to be on a Release Order with a curfew condition of 9pm to 7am and not to possess alcohol. He arrested and lodged in cells to appear in Court in the morning.
Operation While Impaired (alcohol) of Motor Vehicle / Operation While Over 80mg% (alcohol) of Motor Vehicle
On Saturday, October 5th at 12:36PM police received a call of a possible impaired driver. Police located the vehicle, and it resulted in a 32-year-old female being charged. Court date of October 10th, 2024.
Breach of Peace
On October 5th at 3:43PM a call came from a business in the 100 block of 5th Street of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance. Police attended and the 36-year-old woman was held in detention cells until sober to prevent further issues.
Failure to Attend Court X3 / Public Mischief / Theft Under $5000
On October 5th at 5:27PM a 28-year-old female was located by Police in the 1200 block of Princess Avenue. The woman had endorsed Warrants of Arrest. She was arrested, held in detention cells and was set to attend court in the morning.
Arrest Warrants:
At 8:39PM, two males were checked in the 400 block of 26th Street. They were found to be wanted on their respective warrants. Both males were released by way of Appearance Notice with court on December 9th, 2024.
35-year-old male: Sexual Interference
41-year-old male: Failure to Attend Court X2 / Failure to Attend Prints / Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
Breach of Peace
On October 6th at 12:50AM a 911 call came in to attend an establishment in the 000 of 10th Street. Upon arrival it turns out the 34-year-old male caller was the cause of issues. He was arrested, held in detention cells and released once sober.
