Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle
On October 8th at 5:45PM police received notice of a vehicle roll-over/accident just outside of Brandon on the #1 Highway near Chater MB. Police were advised the vehicle had rolled but landed back on its wheels and the driver continued to drive west bound and then struck several vehicles near the intersection of 1st St. N. and Hwy #1. Police attended and arrested the noted who was intoxicated and still driving the vehicle. The 23-year-old male was transported to hospital, cleared and then held at detention cells at Brandon Police Service. Paperwork and release will occur in the morning once sober.
Arrest Warrant (Theft Under $5000 x2 / Failure to Comply with Probation x2)
On October 8th police attended to a complaint of people blocking the entrance to a building in the 700 block of 10th Street. The situation was tended to and a 32-year-old female who was on location was arrested as she was known to have warrants for her arrest. She was released on an Undertaking with a court date of December 2nd, 2024.
Failure to Comply – Probation
On October 8th while on an unrelated call a 32-year-old male was noted to be at an address he was not to attend. He was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of December 16th, 2024.
Failure to Comply – Release Order
On October 8th police noted a man driving in an area he was on conditions not to be near. The 85-year-old man was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of December 19th, 2024
RCMP Warrant
On October 8th at 10:50PM police conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 10th Street. The driver, 38-year-old male, was known to be wanted on an unendorsed RCMP warrant. He was arrested and held in BPS detention cells with court in the morning on October 9th, 2024.
