A few residents have raised concerns over a property on South Hill that is attracting kittens.
Discover Moose Jaw reached out to the city for comment and received the following reply:
“The City has been made aware of concerns regarding the property and has been in contact with the property owner. Specific actions have been outlined for the property owner to comply with. We will conduct regular follow-ups with the property owner until all items are fully addressed.”
Photos posted to social media show kittens looking out from what appears to be an open window on an upper floor of the building.
One post noted that they have repeatedly reported the house using the City of Moose Jaw app and they have been putting up with derelict properties for several years now.
Another post said the Moose Jaw Humane Society was called back in the spring and they came and rescued a litter of kittens. It appears now, however, more kittens have returned to the property to call it home.
