The second phase of Ag Park West in the Municipality of Rhineland is moving ahead. Reeve Don Wiebe says the first step is adding additional water capacity to the development located on Highway 14, just west of Plum Coulee.
"First of all is the twinning of the waterline from the Plum Coulee reservoir to Ag Park West," he said for today's Reeve on the Radio. "The tender has been awarded to Southwood Ventures, and construction is slated to start this Fall."
The project is nearly $700,000, but half that cost is being covered by the Manitoba Water Services Board.
"We're now looking forward to the second phase of the development," shared Wiebe. "Certainly this second water line will support the development in terms of additional water supply, and particularly fire protection."
