Team Canada improved to 4-0 at the World Mixed Curling Championship with a 9-3 victory over Team England in Aberdeen, Scotland on Tuesday afternoon.
Shaun Meachem, Kelly Schafer and Chris and Teejay Haichert from the Swift Current Curling Club gave up a steal of one in the first end, but rebounded with a deuce in the second to take the early lead.
After Andrew Woolston and Team England scored one in the third to tie the game 2-2, Canada picked up three in the fourth end to go up 5-2 at the break.
England scored one more in the fifth end but Meachem wrapped up the game with a four-ender in the sixth end.
Canada has sole possession of first place in Group A and is one of five unbeaten teams in the round-robin along with Sweden, Spain, USA and Norway.
Canada will face Czechia in their next game on Wednesday morning at 5:00 a.m. followed by a game against the Philippines at 1:00 p.m. The games can be streamed live onĀ The Curling Channel.
