As temperatures fall, the Portage Golf Club is closing up for the year, and General Manager Robby Moar says the season saw a lot of action.
"I think our year at the course was pretty good. We started off with a bit of a rough spring, it was kind of chilly and windy, but it got pretty hot through the summer, and we've had a good fall. So, just going from last year to this year, having the staff that I had, it seemed to be a pretty good year over here, so I'm pretty happy with how things turned out."
In terms of changes this year, Moar adds that there was a significant change on one hole to make the course more challenging.
"We've got a fairway bunker on Hole 6 that is fully open and operational, Farrol's guys did a great job with that. They're currently fixing the tee box on Hole 5, they got some nice rocks around it, squaring everything off and improving that. So, we were able to get some stuff done, and we'll be doing some stuff in the next year or two to improve the course."
With the season wrapped up, Moar notes that the calendar is already being filled for next year when golf season arrives.
He also provided a list of players who hit holes-in-one this season, giving congratulations to:
