Public Mischief
On October 17th a call was received of a male with a gun at Brandon's ER. Upon members arriving there had been no incident described in the call. Security cameras were also checked with no result. The 45-year-old male caller was arrested and later released with a Public Mischief charge. Court date of December 19th, 2024.
Resisting Arrest / Railway Safety Act. Sec. 26.1
On October 17th a 29-year-old male was walking down the train tracks of 1800 Pacific Avenue. When a member approached the subject, he tried to escape contact with the officer. Upon making contact with the male, he actively resisted. He was later released with a ticket and an Appearance Notice with a court date of December 19th, 2024.
Assault X2 / Disturbance by Fighting
In relation to the October 16th incident regarding the assault that occurred at a high school, the second suspect – 17-year-old female, was arrested on October 17th at her residence. She had assaulted the victim by punching her approximately ten times. She was released on an Undertaking with a court date of December 17th, 2024.
Breach of Peace
On October 17th police received a call of a disturbance in the 100 block of 18th Street. Police attended and initially thought a peaceful resolve took place; however, a secondary call and complaint came in after the first interaction. A 23-year-old male was arrested and held in detention cells to prevent further issues.
Breach of Release Order (Curfew) / Assault a Police Officer
On October 17th at 10:00PM a report came in of a female causing a disturbance in the middle of the road in the 500 block of 16th Street. Police attended and located the female who turned out to be a 44-year-old female breaching curfew of a Release Order. While at BRHC being medically cleared, she kicked an officer in the chest. She was cleared and brought to BPS detention cells with court in the morning on October 18th, 2024.
Failure to Comply with Undertaking (Curfew)
On October 18th at 2:00AM while conducting a walkthrough of an establishment in the 3500 block of Victoria Avenue, a 20-year-old female was found to be breaching a curfew. She was arrested without incident and later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of December 9th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant
On October 18th at 2:23AM police encountered a 35-year-old male who had a Warrant of Arrest for Failure to Attend Prints and Failure to Attend Court. The subject was arrested, held in cells and will be released in the morning. A court date of December 9th, 2024, has been set.
