A family in Moose Jaw needs help after a house fire claimed all their belongings.

On September 13th around 7:30 p.m. at the 400 block of Fairford Street in Moose Jaw, the Cameron family's rental home went up in flames. With no tenant insurance, the fire took all the family's belongings with it while leaving the couple and their three children with very little in their name.

"Losing a house to a fire along with everything you own in seconds (brings) a lot of anxiety right now," said Andrew Cameron, husband and father of the family.

To bounce back from the tragedy of the fire, a local restaurant is helping the family. The Crushed Can is holding a rib night fundraiser on October 28th from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. as tickets are $25 each.

The family is also accepting donations in the categories of toiletry, kitchen, bedroom, children, and everyday essential needs as they've already received tremendous support from the community.

"Knowing the difficult time and how everyone is coming together as one, it's amazing," stated Cameron.

Tickets are now available for purchase. If you'd like to attend the rib night or make a donation, contact Cameron via text at 306-313-6292.
