A 30-year-old man is dead following a shooting on the Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation Friday night.
According to a RCMP press release, a call came in at 11:25 p.m. of shots being fired at a residence on the First Nation. Officers from the Sandy Bay Detachment of the Manitoba First Nation Police Service (MFNPS) responded to the and when officers arrived, they located the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Manitoba First Nations Police Service, along with RCMP Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, are continuing to investigate the homicide.
