There were a number of games this weekend for Weyburn hockey teams, with a lot of the action taking place at Crescent Point Place.

The U18 AA John Hulbert Construction Wings were at home for a pair of games against the Swift Current Broncos on the weekend.  

Saturday night, the Broncos would jump out to the lead in the second period, and held on for a 3-1 win. The lone goal for the Wings came with 1:25 left in the third period as Evan Duke found the back of the net.  

Sunday afternoon, the two teams played again. This time the game would go to overtime, where the Broncos eked out a 4-3 victory. Kale Chinski, Blaise Jorgensen, and Clay Chinski scored for the Wings in the loss.

The U18 Southeast Apex Gold Wings played their home opener Sunday afternoon in Midale, as they took on the Notre Dame Hounds. The Gold Wings took an early lead and held on for a 4-3 victory. Bostyn Runge, Natalie Molde, Hadley Gerle and Charlotte Kosior scored in the win.

The U16 AA Agriterra Wings were in Carnduff to play a pair of games against the Sask East Oilers on the weekend. The first game, Friday night, was a 5-1 win for Weyburn. Cayden Snell, Andrew Hemphill, Jack Bell, Chris Neufeld, and Reid Kosior all scored for the Wings in the win.  

In the rematch Saturday morning, overtime would be needed, and Sask East would come away with the 5-4 win. Weyburn had a hat trick from Hemphill, and one other goal from Seth Franklin, in the loss.

The U15 Annugas Wings were in Regina Friday night to play the Aces. Regina would score four goals in the third period en route to a 7-2 victory. Kobe Deck and Rylan Meier scored for Weyburn in the loss.  

Saturday, the U15 AA Wings were at home against the Saskatoon Bandits. Saskatoon skated to an 8-3 victory. Carter Weichel, Levi Lillejord, and Deck scored for Weyburn in the loss.

The U15 AA Southeast Whitecap Gold Wings entertained the Warman Wildcats Saturday afternoon. The Gold Wings would come away with a 4-3 win. Haven Bourassa, Chelsea Madsen, Olivia Von Sprecken, and Lexi Bauman scored for the Gold Wings in the victory.
