Arrest Warrant – Failure to Attend Court
At 9:30AM police attended an establishment in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue for a female who was refusing to leave. The 47-year-old woman had an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. She was arrested, brought to detention cells and held overnight for court in the morning on October 21st.
Arrest Warrant – Failure to Attend Court
At 5:20PM Cadets were speaking with a male in the 100 block of 9th Street. A check revealed the 40-year-old male had an outstanding endorsed Warrant of Arrest. Police Officers attended to assist. The male was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of November 18th, 2024.
Arrest Warrant – Failure to Attend Court (Virden) / Failure to Attend Court X4 / Assault
At 5:00PM police observed a male consuming alcohol in the 200 block of 5th Street. Upon noticing the officer, the male immediately dropped the bottle and ran. There was a brief foot pursuit. The male was found to have an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest X2 as well as he was bound by a Release Order with a non-consume clause. He was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on October 21st, 2024.
Mischief Under $5000
Back on September 14th, 2024, police received a call stating a group of people had thrown rocks at the front window of a building in the 700 block of Princess Avenue East, smashing the window. A 16-year-old male was identified as one of the individuals responsible. He was located on October 20th and charged accordingly. Court date set for January 21st, 2025.
Fight Resulting in Multiple Charges
At 7:10PM police received a call of males fighting around the 100 block of 9th Street. Upon police arrival the fight was finished. Two males, 47 and 41, were the two parties found to be involved in the fight and were arrested on scene for their Warrants and Breach of Release Order. While investigating, a 29-year-old male repeatedly approached members attempting to hinder the investigation and eventually challenged members to fight. He was eventually taken into custody after a brief struggle where a hatchet was found hidden up the sleeve of his jacket. There ultimately was no complaint of assault regarding the fight but all three were arrested for their various charges and held in detention cells for court/release in the morning on October 21st, 2024.
47-year old’s Charges: Resisting Arrest, Failure to Attend Court X4 (Court in the morning)
41-year old’s charges: Failure to Comply with Release Order (Court on December 23rd, 2024)
29-year old’s charges: Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carry a Concealed Weapon, Obstruction, and Resisting Arrest (Court in the morning)
Failure to Comply with Release Order & Probation Order
At 10:49PM police responded to a report of a female and male having a dispute near 22nd and Victoria Avenue. Police attended and the female was arrested for possession of a pocketknife which breached both of her orders. She was held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on October 21st, 2024.
Theft of Mail
At 3:43AM police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 800 block of 1st Street. The 24-year-old male had an endorsed Warrant for Theft of Mail. He was sober and released on an Undertaking (not to attend the address he stole mail from.) Court date scheduled for December 12th, 2024.
