Arrest Warrants:
Breach of Probation
At 9:09AM a pedestrian stop was conducted in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue. It was confirmed the 20-year-old male had an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. He was arrested, held in detention cells and appeared in court. Released with Release Order.
Failure to Attend Court
At 11:01AM police attended to an address in the 400 block of 11th Street. A 29-year-old female with an outstanding unendorsed warrant was located, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on October 22nd, 2024.
Failure to Comply with Conditional Sentence Order
At 1:57PM a 19-year-old male turned himself in to Brandon Police Service (BPS) as he was aware there was a Warrant for his arrest. He was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of November 19th, 2024.
Failure to Attend Prints
At 3:43PM police were called to the 1600 block of McTavish Avenue for a disturbance call. A 17-year-old female with an endorsed Warrant of Arrest was on location. The Warrant was executed, and she was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date set for November 19th, 2024.
Operate Conveyance while Prohibited
At 12:30PM a traffic stop in the 1900 block of MacTavish Avenue was conducted. The operator of the vehicle was a 23-year-old male who currently is prohibited from driving Canada wide. Charged accordingly. Court date set for December 23rd, 2004.
Theft Under $5000
At 6:14PM a business in the 900 block of 18th Street reported holding a thief in custody. A 30-year-old female had attempted to steal $24 worth of items. The thief was arrested and later released on an Undertaking with a court date of January 2nd, 2025.
Robbery, Break Enter & Commit, Resist Arrest, Possession of Dangerous Weapon, and Breach of Release Order X2
At 8:25PM a call came in of a 20-year-old female forcing her way into a residence in the 700 block of 10th Street and stole a vape at knifepoint. She fled prior to police arrival but was caught on video surveillance. Once identified on surveillance she was located at her residence where she resisted during the arrest. She was later released on an Undertaking with a court date of January 2nd, 2025.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered
At 8:31PM a report of an abandoned vehicle near 10th Street and Pacific Avenue came in to police. It had a broken front windshield and an axe on the front seat. At 8:47PM a female called BPS reporting her vehicle stolen from the 100 block of 4th Street that matched this vehicles description. The vehicle was towed, and police continue to investigate.
Domestic Assault
At 10:02PM police were called to the 600 block of Pacific Avenue where a witness called 911 to report a domestic assault. Upon police arrival the 18-year-old female showed obvious signs of abuse and was bleeding from the nose. She refused to provide a statement. The 19-year-old male boyfriend who had assaulted her, was known to police from a prior interaction at the hospital that day. He had a stab wound and had been treated for minor injuries but refused to cooperate with police. He had been involved in a fight in Cornell Bay earlier in the day where parties declined pressing charges. Upon leaving the hospital he attended to Pacific Avenue where the assault occurred.
He was arrested, held in detention cells, and will attend court in the morning On October 22nd, 2024.
