Valleyview Co-op's General Manager and Executive Officer Valleyview Co-op in Virden and area has been appointed as Director of the Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada (CDF Canada).
CDF Canada is a global leader in promoting sustainable economic and social development through the co-operative business model, and has been empowering communities across Asia, Africa, and Latin America for over 75 years.
'Through partnerships and co-operative principles, CDF Canada takes a data-driven approach to building capacity, fostering economic self-reliance, and influencing local cooperative policies for sustainable growth. Gill will support these initiatives and help guide the organization’s strategic vision, stated their most recent news release.
The CDF position as Director is a volunteer position, this in addition to his current role as GM and EO of Valleyview Co-op.

With an impressive 32 years of experience in the co-operative sector, Greg Gill has dedicated 24 years to transformative leadership, including 20 years in senior roles across four local co-operatives and as a Business Advisor for Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a value-driven leader, he excels in nurturing stakeholder relationships and is skilled in organizational design, strategic planning, and data analysis.
Gill's expertise spans diverse sectors, including non-profit, for-profit, and co-operatives. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed comprehensive portfolios encompassing operations, finance, marketing, administration, and human resources.
Gill joins CDF Canada at a pivotal moment in its history. The organization is expanding its global initiatives to bridge agricultural and financial access, support women’s economic empowerment, and enhance resilience to climate change.
