It's just like Need for Speed always said, if you want to race, take it to your local track. Someone found out the hard way when travelling nearly 60 kilometers an hour over the speed limit.
At 2:11 a.m. on October 21, Portage la Prairie RCMPÂ observed a vehicle going 158 km/h in a 100 zone on Highway 1, eastbound, near Portage La Prairie.
When asked about his speed, the driver stated his passenger’s sister was pregnant.
The 21-year-old driver has been fined $809 for speeding and was given a serious offence notice.
