Failure to Attend Court / Possession of a Weapon

At 8:55AM, Cadets identified a male in the 100 block of 8th Street who had an endorsed Warrant of Arrest. Police Officer attended and arrested the 56-year-old male. He was later released with a court date of December 9th, 2024.

Theft / Assault

At 10:47AM an employee of a business in the Shoppers Mall reports being assaulted by a female that was stealing. Upon trying to stop the thief, she was punched in the face. The suspect was followed to the keystone grounds where a police officer located her. The 18-year-old female was found sober, arrested, held in detention cells, and will attend court in the morning on October 23rd, 2024.

Theft leads to RCMP Arrest Warrant  

At 11:42AM two females were observed by loss prevention staff shoplifting at a store in the Corral Centre. Both females were held on location until police arrival. The 31-year-old female was found to have plastic brass knuckles and identified she had stolen them a month ago. The second female, age 19, was found to be the subject of an endorsed RCMP Warrant of Arrest. Both females were sober and transported to Brandon Police Service. (BPS). They were held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on October 23rd, 2024.

31-year old’s charges: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Theft Under $5000, Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

19-year old’s new charges: Theft Under $5000

19-year old’s previous: Endorsed RCMP Warrant of Arrest for Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats

Breach of Undertaking

At 2:29PM a call came in of a No Contact Order being breached by a 29-year-old male in the 400 block of 10th Street. The male was arrested, held in detention cells, and will attend court in the morning on October 23rd, 2024.

Access Child Pornography / Possession of Child Pornography / Sexual Assault

At 7:57AM BPS Major Crimes Section executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Lorne Avenue East as part of a child pornography investigation. The subject was not present at the time of the search, but later turned himself in to police. He was interviewed, charged and released on an Undertaking for court on December 23rd, 2024.

Breach of the Peace

At 3:05PM a panic alarm came in from a care home in the 300 block of Louise Avenue. A highly agitated resident was trying to assault the workers in the care home. She was removed from the property by police to prevent further issues and held in detention cells. She was later released once she calmed down.

Break Enter and Commit Theft / Mischief Under $5000

On September 9th at 3:55AM a report was received of a Break and Enter to a vendor in the 200 block of 18th Street North in which a window was smashed to gain entry and alcohol was taken. Video surveillance led to police identifying a 12-year-old female. She was located on October 20th and charged. Court date set for December 16th, 2024.
