The R.M. of Morris Public Works department is working hard to check the boxes off its Fall "to-do" list before the first significant snowfall of the season. That includes ditch drainage work.
"We have another five miles left of drainage to complete, as far as our plan for this season" explained Reeve Scott Siemens. "And once again, a reminder to send in your requests for next year, and we'll see how we can fit them in."
Crews are also doing some pre-winter roadwork, too.
"Right now we are trying to get the graders out there in full force, and have them do a good job reshaping the roads, getting them crowned for winter, so when things melt in spring, the water can run off," he said. "As well there are piles along the fields from us doing our drainage program, so they will be out there leveling piles, if not already nearly completed by now."
Siemens made the comments for Reeve on the Radio which you can listen to below.
