A man facing three counts of attempted murder pleaded not guilty in Moose Jaw Provincial Court this week.
Ryan Milne appeared via video from the Regina Correctional Centre, while his lawyer Lucas Richards appeared by telephone.
Richards entered the not guilty plea and elected that Milne be tried by a provincial court judge. Richards also had instructions from his client to waive his right to a preliminary hearing.
Provincial Crown Prosecutor Erin Little told the court the trial would take three full consecutive days. Dates for the trial were set for April 28 to 30, 2025.
Milne was arrested on May 30 following a collision involving two pick-up trucks at the intersection of Thatcher Drive and Highway 1.
It alleged that the driver of one vehicle deliberately rear-ended the other vehicle at a high rate of speed before assaulting the other driver with a baseball bat. There were three other people in the other vehicle that were treated for minor injuries.
