It'll be a special weekend for residents in Strathmore and the surrounding area full of spooky scares and fun events.
Here are five things taking place.
Business Excellence Awards: The Strathmore Wheatland Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to host the Business Excellence Awards on Friday (Oct. 25) at 6:30 p.m. The festivities will run at the Strathmore Civic Centre.
Langdon Business Conference: The Langdon & District Chamber of Commerce is showcasing the best in business during a conference on Friday (Oct. 25) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event is an opportunity for businesses to meet and discuss the future of entrepreneurship. The initiative will be held at The Track Golf Course.
Halloween Skating Party: The Standard & District Agricultural Society will host a fun family skating event on Saturday (Oct. 26) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Standard Arena. The whole family is invited, and residents can dress in their best costumes. There will be prizes for relay racing in different age divisions. Ag members get in free, and drop-in is $5.
ABC Kids Drop-In: The Strathmore Municipal Library will be home to parents and their kids and will be filled with books, rhymes, and activities on Friday (Oct. 25) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The program is designed for preschoolers from three to five years old and their parents and is free to attend.
Langdon Halloween Bingo: Get ready for a fun night of Halloween bingo at the Langdon Field House on Sunday (Oct. 27) from 4:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring their costumes and there will be cash prizes available.
