The Winnipeg Freeze have a single win against the Terriers so far in their 185-game history, an overtime victory against the Dogs at the Hockey For All Centre. The Terriers led the game with a minute to play, but a goal with the Freeze net empty tied things up, and Elliot Perreault scored 44 seconds into the extra frame to spoil the dogs perfect record against them.
portage comes into tonight's game on a nice roll, with wins against Niverville, Steinbach and Virden recently putting them in the top spot in the MJHL Power Rankings.
Mitchell Kathler will be expected to start with Ryan Velan being the starter last night in Virden, and Kathler has been excellent to start the season, with six wins on the season so far, and a pair of shutouts.
Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. at Stride Place.
